$40 million for Kings and Monaro Highways if NSW government re-elected

Monaro MP John Barilaro has announced $40 million to be shared equally between safety improvement projects on the Kings and Monaro Highways if the NSW Coalition government is re-elected later this month.

The money would be for the construction of overtaking lanes, wider shoulders and the installation of safety barriers in places identified by NSW Roads and Maritime Services.

John Barilaro has announced $20 million upgrades for both the Kings and Monaro Highways, if the NSW government is re-elected later this month.

In 2017, a $17.9 million project straightened 4.1 kilometres of the Kings Highway about 20 kilometres south east of Braidwood.

Road resurfacing work was completed and guard rails installed in 2015 as part of another safety improvement initiative.
